Hey Friend: It's Eucalyptus Time

Hey Friend,

It’s been a while, but I am BACK. I hope you had a Great holiday season. My holidays were pretty awesome. I got to spend time with a long lost friend, not to mention I got this really cool toy, a diffuser.

OMG….

This has got to be the best gift I have ever received. So one of the components was the essential oils. The oils that came with the diffuser were lavender, pink grapefruit, and Eucalyptus.

Oh how I love Eucalyptus. All types of Eucalyptus. Seeded Euca, Gun Eye, Bladed, etc. (I mean I am a florist, duh) But my favorite is Baby Blue Eucalyptus. So let me give you a brief school session. Baby Blue is the more prevalent eucalyptus. Not to mention, it has a lot of advantages.

The Pop- Up Experience

I love partnering with HerMarket. HerMarket is a platform that creates spaces for women-owned indie brands in the beauty, lifestyle + apparel industries to connect + interact with today’s marketplace. So I just did their fall pop-up market, and as always it went fantastic. Now me being the florist that I am I always bring a little of everything. So why not bring some eucalyptus to add a little texture to the bouquets. However, what ended up happening was more customers wanted Eucalyptus. I mean, I sold out of all of the eucalyptus.

Every type.

Then in the mist of all the traffic, one of the vendors asked me what are the benefits of the eucalyptus….

The Benefits of Eucalyptus

There are so many different benefits of eucalyptus.

  • Anti-Inflammatory

  • Anti-bacterial

  • Anticancer Effects

  • Antiviral

  • Pain Reliever & Fever Reducer

  • Repels Insects

  • Lower Blood Pressure

  • Boost Brain Function

I have always been fascinated with eucalyptus and all of the benefits that it offers. So when someone introduced me to adding it into the shower of course, you know I had to try it. Not to mention, tell everyone about it.

Shower Time

Let me be the first one to say, I love the bathroom. It’s probably is my favorite room in the house.

Literally.

So when I found out you can add eucalyptus to the shower, I was sold. So every Sunday (Self-Care Sunday) I dedicate that day to God (because God is totally first), then Bath Time. We all need to learn how to do more self care time. So each Sunday I build this entire Bathing experience, and I add a different component in each Sunday. Then I got the Diffuser.

The Diffuser Craze

I am never one to follow a trend. I actually hate trends because, they are literally gone within a week. But a friend gifted me with this cool new gadget.

I have to tell you I am hooked.

The diffuser I have lights up and change colors. So how this amazing little gadget works is you add water then a few drops of essential oils. Then it does its on thing, and boy is it magical. Now, like I said before I am not a trendy person, but this is totally worth the experience. I have thoroughly loved this experience with my new gadget. But…

I am a Candle Lover, Not a Diffuser Junkie

Okay, enough of that. I am losing focus. Eucalyptus is one of my favorite greens when making flower arrangements.

The Texture to a Beautiful Arrangement

I am a greenery driven florist. I love to use eucalyptus. It allows so much texture to the arrangement. Eucalyptus gives the arrangement a villain to the story. Every type of eucalyptus adds something different. From the Gun Eye to Baby Blue, they all bring something different to the arrangement. Did I mention it drys to beautifully that you never really want to get rid of it.

Hey this was fun. I haven’t done this in a while. I have to stay consistent and do more of these. Come back to visit more. I will be waiting…

See you later for now, Friend.

Thankful,

RO
